Who is Craig Arndt?

Craig is a hardworking creative. Working as everything from an Art Director, designer, Background Supervisor in both Layout and Paint for studios such as WildBrain Studios, Titmouse Animation, Atomic Cartoons, and for Netflix, Dreamworks, and Disney projects. In the past Craig has also had the great privilege to Lead on the Emmy Award winning team for The Last Kids on Earth at Atomic Cartoons.

On each team Craig has been put on he has excelled at both leadership and creative roles. Often becoming a central part of the team in training up new hires to quickly acclimate them to the team and allow them to excel in their own way! This is likely because his background of 10 years teaching after school art classes to children and adults has given him the skills to be able to work with others and discover the best way for them to learn on the job, and communicate in clear and easy to understand ways.

Craig has faced many unique challenges in the Animation field. From Art Directing a show with a Ukrainian studio during the active Russian invasion of Ukraine. To pioneering the Scene Setup division (a position where you gather all the assets from all the departments and put them together in FLA scene files to hand off the animators) at Titmouse Vancouver. These unique challenge have given him a strong understanding of not only the creative side of the animation pipeline, but the technical side too. As such Craig is a not only a strong artist but an excellent problem solver in finding clean and effective ways to troubleshoot many problems that appear in a pipeline while simultaneously respecting the other departments down the line and not creating extra work for them. A key ability in any pipeline and deadline based project.
